Rayda Turner Hi, David! Happy 2012. How is Sunburst Cleaning doing. My Dad is finally out of the hospital (he was in there since Sept 6) so I've been all over the place. Other than that, we're doing well and hoping BV ends up in NASCAR soon. How are you and the girls? TTYSoon!

WOW - didn't see that one coming.  It all boiled down to money... he couldn't afford my paycheck any longer.  So, I've begun the process to open my own cleaning business again.  I ran my own company for about 10 years before John convinced me to come work for him.  I do have a few accounts that will revert back to me, so we won't starve, but we will have to alter our spending habits quite significantly until I'm able to secure some more business.  So far, so good.  We'll see what the next few months hold for us. ////////// On the personal side of life I've told my story 2 more times in the last week.  That's a lot.  But, it's been good for me to talk about how life is today and facing the challenge I'm face...    less

I bet telling your story has really helped. If we never lose track of who we were and who we are, we can always become who we're meant to be. I believe that. If I can be of any support, let me know. I went home on a quick trip to visit some sick relatives. They are doing better thank goodness and we were able to survive Irene. We're hoping the power comes back on Sunday. We're on the generator in the meanwhile, so things can get done. I'll be starting beauty school on Tuesday for Aesthetics. I'm out of a job and unemployment, so it's time to do that. We're cutting down on our spending, too. These are tough times, but we'll make it. TTYL! Love to Lucy and the girls.  less

I made it back from California and missed the race. I've been able to watch a bit of Daytona and Kentucky. We got the three little girls from foster care back in our home. Things have been super busy. Plus, there's been drama with their Mom's side of the family. Poor kids. They are only 7, 4 & 2. They seem to be doing OK in spite of that. How is your "Sta-cation"? The maneaters are liking the kids and so is Freddy. Plus, the whole neighborhood has been really supportive of us. That was a great surprise! Hope BV does well in NHIS! My friend Al will be at the race. Love to you and yours! Enjoy your time with your friends!  less

There is a lot to speculate about if the rumor is true. ////////// I hope your California trip was successful.  I'm sure that Freddy and the Maneaters are glad to have you back home.  TTYL  less

Took the last 3 days off as vacation.  Played golf with Rusty and his friend Lee in South Carolina on Wednesday.  On Thursday the 3 of us and another friend (Scott) went to Ponte Vedra and played The TPC @ Sawgrass.  That's the course where they hold the Player's Championship every year.  None of us played particularly well (I cleaned house in our skins game though) but it was really cool to play a course I've seen on TV for years.
